After the S Class course and the practical test that will take place on the Black Sea shore, in Mangalia, the practical test which lasts two days and is realized on board our sailing boat Bavaria 30, you will obtain the diploma of "S Class pleasure boat skipper", which gives you the right to sail in maritime areas at a distance of no more than 6 nautical miles from the coast.

Sailing courses have a theoretical and a practical part and are finalized by taking two exams (written and practical assessed by the sailing school) on the basis of which a diploma will be issued. On the basis of the diploma, the students can obtain from the ANR the international certificate of sailing pleasure craft skipper class S (because they have completed the nautical school of sailing).

The main conditions that candidates must fulfill in order to take the exam are:

• Minimum age: 18 years;
• hold a Class D or C pleasure craft operator's certificate.
• to attend the 2-day theory and practical course;
• holding the GMDSS-LRC.9 General Radio Operator Certificate
